A metal detector is a device used to detect the presence of metal nearby. It is most commonly used to detect metal in security or other safety–related applications. Walk–through Metal Detectors

Walk-through metal detectors are metal detection systems that are designed to detect metal objects on a person as they pass through. When a person passes through the archway, metal detector sensors detect metal objects on the person, and the alarm sounds if metal is detected. The metal detector can also be adjusted to detect specific types of metal objects, such as weapons or prohibited items.

Hand–held Metal Detectors

Hand–held metal detectors are used to detect metal objects that are not visible to the naked eye. They are often used in security applications, such as detecting weapons or other items that could pose a safety hazard. Hand–held metal detectors have a search coil, or antenna, that emits a magnetic field that can detect metal objects when they come into close proximity. When a metal object is detected, the detector emits a sound or vibration alert.

Ground Search Metal Detectors

Ground search metal detectors are designed to detect metallic objects buried in the ground. They are used to locate underground pipes, buried utilities, and lost objects. They can also be used to locate hidden caches of ammunition or explosives. These metal detectors use electromagnetic fields to detect the presence of metal underground. Depending on the model and type of metal detector, they may also be able to detect other objects such as coins and jewelry. Ground search metal detectors come in a variety of sizes and configurations and can be used in a variety of applications.
